"Flowing Diffusion," designed by Chien-Chien Peng of TCYI Interior Design, stands as a testament to innovation in residential architecture, earning the Silver A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award in 2025. Located in Zhubei City, Hsinchu County, Taiwan, this 462.8-square-meter apartment was envisioned for a tech industry client seeking a home that harmonizes metal elements, geometric forms, and social connectivity. The project's open-plan layout seamlessly connects living and dining areas, creating a spacious environment ideal for gatherings and fostering family interaction.

The residence's most striking feature is its curved metal and translucent ceiling, which integrates advanced lighting capable of shifting colors to suit any occasion. The titanium-coated metal facade, inspired by the building's exterior, introduces a sculptural element with its gracefully curved edges, balancing strength and elegance. This metal artistry extends throughout the home, from the walkway's gallery-like installation to the custom dining table and cabinetry, all unified by carefully selected Italian tiles and metallic finishes. The design's meticulous attention to detail is evident in the seamless large-tile flooring, which enhances the sense of openness and continuity.

Addressing the family's evolving needs, the layout strategically separates private spaces, with two master bedrooms and a dedicated study featuring a five-meter desk for shared reading and discussion. Floor-to-ceiling windows and glass sliding doors flood the home with natural light, while the interplay of warm wood tones and vibrant lighting creates a welcoming, gallery-inspired atmosphere. Overcoming technical challenges, such as the precise installation of curved titanium-coated surfaces and the integration of even, saturated lighting, the design exemplifies both artistic vision and expert craftsmanship. "Flowing Diffusion" not only elevates the aesthetic of contemporary living but also sets a new standard for personalized, functional, and visually captivating home environments.
