Wu-Su Interior Design's "Chantilly" project, located in Taiwan and completed in January 2024, has been recognized with a Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category for 2025. The project transforms a 14-year-old, 265-square-meter apartment into a luminous, artful home that blurs the boundaries between indoors and the natural world. Drawing inspiration from the owner's preference for white and the panoramic mountain views, the design team crafted a space where flowing curves, layered materials, and thoughtful lighting create a serene and immersive living environment.
The foyer welcomes visitors with openwork screens and undulating lines that echo the hills outside, establishing a seamless connection with nature from the very first step. Throughout the apartment, smooth curves guide movement and sightlines, uniting the living room, dining area, and passageways in a rhythmic flow reminiscent of musical chapters-an homage to the owner's passion for music. Materials such as marble, solid wood, artistic tiles, and Swedish Bolon carpet are used in a predominantly white palette, softened with beige gradients and UV-resistant coatings to ensure lasting elegance and prevent yellowing over time.
Functional artistry is evident in every detail, from the double master bedrooms with accessible, barrier-free bathrooms to the hidden sliding doors that provide both privacy and acoustic comfort. The corridor's photo wall, clad in shimmering metal tiles, enhances the artistic ambiance and reflects the gentle curves that define the home. Each space is carefully planned to suit diverse occasions, offering both communal areas for gatherings and intimate corners for solitude. The result is a residence that not only fulfills the owner's aesthetic and lifestyle desires but also stands as a testament to innovative, human-centered design.
