"For Angel Cupid" Residence by CHI-PEI CHANG: Award-Winning Smart Home Design for Modern Newlyweds

"For Angel Cupid," designed by CHI-PEI CHANG of INCH Interior Design, has received the prestigious Iron A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award for 2025. This innovative project, completed in February 2024 in Taipei City, Taiwan, transforms a once dark and musty apartment into a luminous, welcoming sanctuary tailored for a young newlywed couple. The design stands out for its harmonious blend of technology, aesthetics, and thoughtful space planning, reflecting the personalities and lifestyle needs of its residents.

The residence, spanning 132.2 square meters, features a clever layout that separates social and private areas through the use of flowing lines, subtle dividers, and glass partitions. Warm, light tones and soft lighting define thematic zones, while curved elements throughout the space add a sense of sweetness and intimacy. Notably, the dining area has been reimagined as a computer room with transparent glass walls, supporting the couple's love for entertaining while maintaining privacy. The integration of a voice-controlled smart home system with customizable lighting and scene settings further enhances comfort and convenience.

Material choices such as ironwork, wooden cabinetry, chiseled marble, and distinctive patterned tiles contribute to the home's inviting atmosphere. The design process involved overcoming significant challenges, including the meticulous installation of curved glass and the careful application of stone finishes on load-bearing walls. The result is a bright, technologically advanced residence that not only meets professional and industrial standards but also provides a nurturing environment where the couple can thrive. The Iron A' Design Award recognizes "For Angel Cupid" for its practical innovation, technical excellence, and contribution to a better living experience.
