"Lighting The Way" Project Recognized for Excellence in Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design

Worth Interior Design Ltd. has achieved international recognition by winning the Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category for its project "Lighting The Way." Completed in May 2024 in Taichung City, the project addresses the challenge of transforming a long, narrow apartment into a spacious, functional, and aesthetically pleasing environment. By employing advanced spatial penetration techniques, the design team maximized openness and flow, overcoming structural limitations while enhancing comfort and sustainability.

The innovative approach integrates titanium-plated steel, natural stone, and wood, chosen for their durability, reflectivity, and ability to interact with both natural and artificial light. Strategic use of LED strip lighting and reflective surfaces creates a dynamic interplay of light and shadow, amplifying the sense of space and depth. The repositioned TV wall and semi-open, back-shaped partition maintain visual connectivity and improve circulation, while an island dining concept and floor-to-ceiling cabinetry enhance both functionality and storage efficiency.

Research and user feedback guided the design process, with 3D modeling, light studies, and ergonomic assessments informing every decision. The result is a home that not only meets the practical needs of its residents but also sets a new standard for sustainable and innovative interior design.
