"Time Flow" by WPH_HTH_Architects: Award-Winning Residential Design Emphasizing Tranquility, Openness, and Natural Harmony

WPH_HTH_Architects' latest project, "Time Flow," has earned the prestigious Silver A' Design Award 2025 in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category. Located in Taiwan and completed in early 2022, this four-story, 231㎡ residence was envisioned as a tranquil retreat from the fast-paced urban environment. The design team, led by Wu Pei-Hsuan, Hsieh Tsung Hsuan, and Wang Cheng-Chieh, sought to create a home where openness, serenity, and the seamless integration of natural elements foster a sense of freedom and connection for a modern family of four.

Distinctive for its use of simple materials, layered dark wood tones, and the interplay of light and shadow, "Time Flow" crafts an atmosphere of warmth and elegance. The open-plan layout ensures interconnected living spaces, while careful spatial planning allows each family member to enjoy both privacy and shared experiences. Special paint finishes with visible brush marks add texture and depth, while the low-saturation color palette enhances the vividness of daily life, inviting residents to appreciate the subtle transitions of light throughout the day.

The design's thoughtful approach extends to the harmonious proportions of furnishings and the strategic division of functional areas, ensuring comfort and continuity. Natural materials and abundant daylight are maximized to create a living environment that is both calming and invigorating. The project's success lies in its ability to balance the complexities of family life with the desire for a slower, more meaningful pace, offering a new model for residential architecture that celebrates both individuality and togetherness. The Silver A' Design Award recognizes "Time Flow" as a benchmark for excellence, creativity, and innovation in contemporary home design.
