Avila Offices, a reform project by Jofre Roca Calaf, has redefined the concept of contemporary workspaces with its innovative design, promoting well-being and creativity in the heart of Barcelona's 22@ district.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Jofre Roca Calaf has unveiled the remarkable transformation of Avila Offices, a seven-floor office building spanning 1,100 square meters each, located in the vibrant 22@ district of Barcelona. The reform project, initiated in January 2019, aimed to create open, contemporary spaces that foster tranquility, well-being, and health.
The reform's exterior seamlessly integrates with the building, enhancing a sense of openness and inviting pedestrians into the structure. Notably, a striking green wall extends from the facade to the interior, welcoming visitors into the building. The use of glass walls makes the lobby visible from the street, enhancing the transparency and permeability of the spaces within.
The project's interior furniture, including chairs, tables, and reception furniture, along with specially designed lamps, feature raw steel and wood as the primary materials. These same finishes were also utilized in structural and cladding elements, providing a cohesive and distinctive identity to the project.
One of the most remarkable aspects of the Avila Offices is the creation of well-lit, ventilated, and flexible spaces that promote a harmonious combination of elements and materials. These spaces are designed to accommodate various activities and meetings, fostering creativity and motivation.
The Avila Offices project was awarded the prestigious Iron A' Design Award in 2021, recognizing its innovative and practical approach that meets professional and industrial requirements. This accolade underscores the project's contribution to creating a better world through well-designed, innovative creations.
