Geosong: Integrating Nature's Forces

Moriyuki Ochiai Architects introduces Geosong, a residential building located in a hilly area in Kanagawa, Japan. The design draws inspiration from the surrounding landscape of rolling hills, lush greenery, and a park with a fountain filled with spring water. The building's exterior is layered in a gradation of blue and green colored strata, reflecting the colors of the clear blue skies and the neighboring park.

The facade changes its expression depending on the viewer's gaze, inviting them to experience the richness of nature's power. Illuminated polygonal recesses in the entrance hall reveal natural motifs representing small hills, sections of sloping strata, and the freshness of spring water. The use of aluminum, an eco-friendly material, evokes the flowing water of a spring, creating a dynamic visual tapestry within the space.

Geosong resonates with the landscape of rolling hills, channeling and giving form to the natural energy embedded in the multiple layers of intertwined strata and springs surrounding it. The design aims to create a space where the diverse textures and rhythms of nature's expressions can be felt in abundance.
