Residential House Redefinition: Semi Opened

Mateusz Górnik's Semi Opened House is a revolutionary residential project that seamlessly integrates with its natural surroundings, offering a unique living experience. The design inspiration stems from the idea of creating a monolithic structure that complements the ever-changing natural environment. The house is strategically designed to be closed from the front while opening up to a private forest, with the roof serving as a green terrace, providing breathtaking views of the surrounding tree canopy.

The project utilizes a mixed technology of steel, concrete, and ceramics, with a focus on creating a biologically active area both with and without a green roof. The house's interiors are designed to be flexibly exposed to the influence of the surrounding environment, adopting nature decorations through spacious windows and skylights, creating an ever-changing ambiance that harmonizes with the natural surroundings.

With a total plot area of 2790.00 m2 and a built-up area of 540.40 m2, the Semi Opened House stands as a testament to modern architecture, featuring a flat roof, gable roof, and a unique floor plan dimension of 26.6 m x 34.5 m. The project received planning permission in January 2022 and is set to be completed in the coming months, with interior works and site works around the building underway.

Mateusz Górnik's innovative approach to architecture has garnered widespread acclaim, with the Semi Opened House being awarded the prestigious Silver A' Design Award in 2023. This recognition further solidifies Górnik's position as a visionary architect who continues to shape architectural trends with a focus on eco-friendly solutions and sustainable design practices.
