Discover the Zen-inspired Chuan Villa, a 720 Square Meter Residential House in Shenzhen
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Dickson Xie, in collaboration with Luowang Li and Fucheng Zhou, presents Chuan Villa, a serene residential house located in the tranquil Dapeng Peninsula, Shenzhen. Inspired by the Japanese Zen tea ceremony, the design embodies simplicity, minimalism, and elegance, creating a space that harmonizes emptiness and spirituality.
The villa's unique feature lies in its emphasis on natural light, achieved through the use of special environmental materials for the ceiling, allowing light to permeate every corner. The project, which commenced in March 2017 and concluded in November 2019, offers a modern, minimalist living experience that reflects the designer's vision of "everything in nothing."
The interior design of Chuan Villa is a testament to the designer's meticulous attention to detail, as seen in the guest dining room's departure from traditional Chinese round table settings, opting for a straight-line design that seamlessly connects entertainment and dining areas.
The project's design challenges were overcome through the incorporation of movable wooden grids, adding a delicate and nimble mood to the space. The designer's vision of releasing exhaustion and achieving spiritual pursuit is evident in the tranquility and simplicity of the tea ceremony-inspired design.
Chuan Villa's design is a recipient of the prestigious A' Design Award, recognized for its well-designed, practical, and innovative approach that meets professional and industrial requirements.
