Discover the Blurred Boundaries of Indoor and Outdoor Living in this Unique Waterfront Landscape Residence
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Wen-Ching Wu's "Bathing Light" is a breathtaking residential apartment design that blurs the boundaries between indoor and outdoor living, creating a seamless connection with the surrounding waterfront landscape. Completed in September 2019 in Taoyuan City, Taiwan, this 267.7 square meter apartment offers a unique living experience that embraces the natural beauty of its location.
The design concept focuses on creating an artificially designed lifestyle to enhance the quality of life. The apartment's layout and volume planning allow the homeowner to immerse themselves in the everyday scenery, fostering a sense of continuity between past memories and future experiences.
Wu's meticulous attention to detail is evident in the selection of materials, which adhere to green renovation standards, ensuring a healthy and sustainable living environment. The integration of simple design elements allows the play of light and shadow from the waterfront to accompany residents throughout their daily lives.
With the bedroom circulations located within the public space, the design team faced the challenge of seamlessly incorporating these elements into the overall design, extending the visual experience while integrating the surrounding landscapes.
Wen-Ching Wu's "Bathing Light" has been recognized with the prestigious Iron A' Design Award in 2020, celebrating its practical, innovative, and industry-leading design that contributes to a better world.
