Cloud Flows: Redefining Residential Spaces

Cloud Flows, a residential design project by Hung Yu Chen, reimagines the traditional concept of living spaces by seamlessly integrating the indoors with the outdoors. Inspired by the natural beauty of the surrounding mountains and rivers, the project removes partition walls and connects windows to form a massive window, allowing the outdoor scenery to become an integral part of the house. The use of meandering black granite surfaces and carefully planned spatial layout creates a sense of flow and harmony, evoking a feeling of being in nature.

The unique feature of Cloud Flows lies in the removal of the partition wall, which merges two spaces into one and integrates massive windows to allow abundant natural light to flow into the house. The meandering black granite surface not only provides a sense of flow but also reflects the outdoor scenery, creating a seamless connection between the interior and exterior. The careful spatial planning ensures that every corner of the space offers breathtaking views, enhancing the overall living experience.

Utilizing a combination of materials such as black and white granite, limestone bricks, gray mirrors, and iron hardware, the design achieves a perfect balance of form and function. The use of advanced technology and meticulous attention to detail in the realization of the design further underscores its uniqueness and innovation.
