Renowned designer Fei-Lung Huang completes "Cozy Life," a multi-functional shared space in Taipei City, providing a nostalgic yet vibrant environment for artists and freelancers to collaborate and create.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Renowned designer Fei-Lung Huang has unveiled "Cozy Life," a transformative project that repurposes a 40-year-old house into a vibrant shared space for artists and freelancers in the heart of Taipei City. The client's vision of a multi-functional space that preserves the old house's charm while providing a comfortable environment for creative expression has been realized through Huang's innovative design.
The three-story, 396.6 square meter space features distinct areas on each floor, including a cafe, photography studio, separate work areas, and a yoga studio/exhibition hall. By incorporating recycled wood, glass, and tiles, Huang has successfully created a nostalgic atmosphere without compromising the original structure, while strategically enhancing natural lighting to combat the narrow layout's lack of light.
The project, completed in May 2021, has garnered recognition, receiving the prestigious Iron A' Design Award in 2023 for its practical, innovative, and industry-leading design that meets the needs of professionals and contributes to a better world.
