Designer Vishakha Shah Showcases a Fusion of Contemporary and Gujarati Culture in a Vibrant Residential House
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Designer Vishakha Shah has unveiled a breathtaking residential house, seamlessly blending contemporary elements with the rich essence of Gujarati culture. The design reflects a distinctive use of natural textures and a vibrant palette, creating a sense of liveliness and comfort.
The 3436 sq.ft. built-up area house in Pune, India, is a testament to the fusion of traditional and modern aesthetics, featuring Pichwai art, a striking wooden swing, and vertical fins that create an aesthetic play of light and shadow. The house exudes a grandeur that defies the hustle and bustle of city life, offering a vibrant, airy, and moody ambiance.
Utilizing natural and local materials such as exposed brick, beaten copper, and natural wood, the design ensures proper cross ventilation and dramatic lighting effects throughout the day and year. Despite the challenges posed by the pandemic, the project was successfully completed in October 2020, earning Vishakha Shah the prestigious Silver A' Design Award in 2021 for Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design.
