SYC Architects unveils Pavilion 8, a groundbreaking used car store redefining traditional retail spaces with a unique design concept, located in Kaohsiung, Taiwan.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
SYC Architects introduces Pavilion 8, a revolutionary used car store designed by Yao Chi Shih, transforming the conventional retail space into an architectural marvel. Inspired by the Chinese character "ç¼" and the concept of infinity, the design integrates multi-layer corrugated steel boards to create a visually stunning symbol of infinity, redefining the store as a landmark in the city.
The innovative design sets Pavilion 8 apart by infusing the space with greenery and creating a traditional-style courtyard that enhances transparency, lighting, and spatial aesthetics. The use of colored corrugated steel plates and cylindrical steel columns not only adds to the building's streamlined sense but also ensures a balance between budget and construction cost.
Located at No. 69, Kaixuan 3rd Rd., Qianzhen Dist., Kaohsiung City, Pavilion 8 was realized from April 2020 to January 2022, with a focus on integrating indoor, outdoor, and interstitial spaces to create a dynamic and inviting retail environment.
