DB&B Pte Ltd Transforms SAP's Singapore Headquarters into a Nature-Inspired Hybrid Workspace
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
DB&B Pte Ltd has unveiled the transformation of SAP's Singapore headquarters into a nature-inspired hybrid workspace, fostering collaboration and sustainability. The revamped office spans three levels at 30 MapleTree Business City, covering 9,300 square meters, and was completed in September 2021. Drawing insights on collaboration patterns and employee needs, the design team created diverse configurations to accommodate different group sizes and work settings, promoting a roaming culture and employee engagement.
SAP's revamped office reflects a holistic design solution for a hybrid workforce, integrating nature-themed collaboration hubs and huddle spots to support activity-based work and connect remote employees. The design aligns with the Singapore Green Plan, dedicating at least five percent of the total space to eco-friendly innovations such as energy-efficient LED bulbs and biophilia to minimize indoor air pollutants. The project also involved creative refurbishment of furniture and the use of sustainable materials, emphasizing employee wellness and ESG policies.
The design team, led by Victor Wong and Tiwe Tan, overcame challenges related to the large floorplate across three levels, ensuring connectivity both vertically and horizontally. The revamped space promotes engagement within the office, creating a pleasant work environment with thematic collaboration hubs that evoke the dynamic qualities of nature, bringing the outdoors in to fuse workspace and nature into one.
