Gen Design Studio Transforms Lesprit Cafe into a Modern Oasis
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Gen Design Studio proudly unveils the stunning transformation of Lesprit Cafe, a modern oasis nestled in the central west district of Tainan City, Taiwan. Completed in May 2017, this rebirth project reflects the resilience of the client and the design team's commitment to excellence.
The project, led by Tung Chieh Chen and Chun Hsiao Chou, draws inspiration from the original cafe's elements, combining them with a fresh perspective to create a unique and inviting space. The design seamlessly integrates the characteristics of the customers, the meals served, and the customer impressions from the first cafe, resulting in a harmonious and visually captivating environment.
Utilizing flat marble, matt brass, and black and white tile flooring, the design exudes a calm, warm, and stylish atmosphere, catering to the medium to high price consumption positioning of the cafe. The space, spanning 66 m2, features a kitchen, bar, and dining area, all meticulously crafted to enhance the overall dining experience.
The design team overcame budget constraints by repurposing furniture and elements from the first store, ensuring a consistent style while meeting the client's financial objectives. The interior lighting, featuring large tungsten filament bulbs, not only adds a touch of allure but also serves as a beacon to attract passersby.
Recognized for its exceptional design, Lesprit Cafe was honored with the Silver A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design category in 2020. This prestigious accolade celebrates the innovative and technically proficient approach that Tung Chieh Chen and Chun Hsiao Chou brought to the project, setting a new standard for modern cafe design.
