FORLIFE DESIGN introduces Wabi Sabi, a residential house embracing Japanese aesthetics, completed in January 2023 in Taichung City, Taiwan.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
FORLIFE DESIGN, led by Miles Tseng, has unveiled Wabi Sabi, a residential house inspired by the Japanese aesthetics of wabi-sabi. The design embodies simplicity and purity through primitive textures and pure color schemes, creating an unobtrusive beauty in the interplay of lights and shadows.
In a horizontal layout, the residence welcomes abundant natural light, creating a calm and secluded dwelling that embraces the wabi-sabi aesthetic. The design features a unique interplay of roughness and delicacy, creating a sense of unobtrusive beauty.
The 100 square meter space includes an entrance, living room, dining room, kitchen, two bedrooms, and two bathrooms. The design is characterized by its use of grayscale paints, horizontal layout, and eco-friendly elements.
The project was awarded Bronze in A' Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design Award in 2023, recognizing its outstanding and creatively ingenious design that authenticates experience and resourcefulness.
