Yi Shi's Xuzhou International Academic Center Design, inspired by Xuzhou Han culture, the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal, and the Maritime Silk Road, offers a new sense of community connection and belonging, integrating local characteristics and modern simplicity.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Yi Shi, in collaboration with Maohua Wei, Wei Zhang, Lin Zou, and Changlong Zeng, has unveiled the Xuzhou International Academic Center, a 78000 square meter project that beautifully integrates the Xuzhou Han culture, the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal, and the Maritime Silk Road. The design aims to create a new sense of community connection and belonging for leisure travelers, business people, and local residents.
The all-day-dining room, with its warm wood color and natural stone texture, creates a comfortable dining environment, reflecting the city's warm hospitality and reflecting the prosperous scene of Chinese and foreign exchanges and trade. The banquet center is designed around the idea of "gathering, communication, and sharing," with flexible and majestic spaces.
The project, which started in February 2018 and finished in December 2019 in Xuzhou, has won the Bronze A' Design Award in 2020 for its outstanding and creatively ingenious design that integrates local characteristics and modern simplicity, contributing to quality of life improvements.
