Renos Constantinou unveils Villa Troy, a contemporary residential house inspired by the mythological tale of Paris and Helen, designed to bring the essence of ancient Troy into a modern setting, completed in September 2021 in the outskirts of greater Nicosia.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Renos Constantinou, in collaboration with the design team, has created Villa Troy, a 340 square meter private house designed to feature contemporary aesthetics while using timeless materials. The irregular L-shaped living spaces are surrounded by outdoor areas, emphasizing the connection between the interior and exterior. The open-plan ground level accommodates the lounge, living, and dining rooms, with a double-height void at the vestibule as the core of the house. The choice of stone cladding and metal components pays homage to the walls of Troy, creating a unique and timeless design.
The design of Villa Troy emphasizes natural ventilation and lighting, with large openings enhancing the connection between the inside and outside. The house is equipped with photovoltaic panels, designed to achieve zero energy efficiency, aligning with the principles of sustainable design. The project, which commenced in January 2019, was completed in September 2021, with ACA Architects overseeing the architectural and interior design, project management, supervision, lighting design, and structural design.
Renos Constantinou's Villa Troy has been recognized with the prestigious Iron A' Design Award in 2022, acknowledging its well-designed, practical, and innovative characteristics that meet professional and industrial requirements. The design integrates industry best practices and competent technical features, contributing to a better world.
