Dreamscape, a mesmerizing utopia, comes to life at K11 MUSEA, Victoria Dockside, Hong Kong
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Nelson Chow's Dreamscape is a multimedia installation that invites visitors to escape into a dreamlike realm, challenging the boundaries of reality. The installation, on display since September 2021, will transport guests into an ephemeral shared experience until March 2022 before moving to other K11 premises around China.
Dreamscape's unique design features a voluptuous sculptural form that appears to float above the K11 MUSEA Bohemian Garden, regularly dispersing mist to create an illuminated white shell emerging from a billowing cloud. The installation aims to provide a relaxing urban misty moment, offering an exciting utopia and freedom available to all.
All materials used in the installation are weatherproof, durable, and light for outdoor display. The structure is designed for easy disassembly, transportation, and reassembly, with 250+ illuminated bubble lamps timed to evoke dreaming in a sleeping cloud. The installation has overcome challenges to ensure it is safe and accessible to all ages, open day and night, and visually appealing while ergonomically friendly.
