Wanxiao Zhang's Sunshine Home Redefines Interior Design with Innovative Patios
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Inspired by ancient Chinese architecture, Wanxiao Zhang's Sunshine Home reimagines residential living with a focus on innovative patios. The project, located in Poly Villa, Jiangbei District, Chongqing, is a multi-story building with a special-shaped residential unit spanning three levels. The design, awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in 2020, introduces a groundbreaking approach to interior transformation, ventilation, and lighting.
Wanxiao Zhang's design philosophy was centered around the concept of the patio as the heart of architecture, integrating principles of aerodynamics and design aesthetics. The project features four distinct patios with varying functions and shapes, effectively addressing ventilation and lighting challenges while creating unique landscape features within the interior space.
The interior area spans 290 square meters across three floors, with the basement undergoing a remarkable transformation. Through strategic structural adjustments, spatial layout enhancements, and a cohesive design language, the project achieved optimal lighting efficiency, improved ventilation, and a seamless connection with the outdoors.
Wanxiao Zhang's innovative use of Japanese patio design techniques and the application of aerodynamics in interior design resulted in a harmonious living space that promotes natural airflow and transparency. The project's completion in May 2018 marked a significant milestone in redefining residential living in Chongqing, China.
