Ouyang Tiao's innovative design for a new Hong Kong-style restaurant in Changzhou
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Ouyang Tiao's design for the South Branch Sign restaurant in Changzhou is a modern interpretation of a traditional Hong Kong-style eatery. The project, covering 500 square meters, was completed in May 2019 and is a stunning example of contemporary interior design.
The design team, led by Ouyang Tiao, aimed to create a space that breaks away from the conventional impression of Hong Kong-style restaurants. By using transparent, pure, and delicate visual elements, the design achieves a rational and fashionable style, providing a flexible and comfortable dining environment.
The project's unique feature lies in the use of different materials and colors to distinguish functional areas, reducing physical partitions and creating a sense of invisible division. The design also incorporates terrazzo, wood, cortex, and mirrors to create a rich and diverse spatial texture, enhancing the overall dining experience.
Ouyang Tiao's design won the Bronze A' Design Award in 2020, recognizing its outstanding creativity and contribution to improving the quality of life through innovative design. The project beautifully blends the essence of traditional Hong Kong cuisine with a contemporary and stylish ambiance, offering diners a unique and memorable experience.
