Residence Design: Embracing Open Spaces for Family Interaction

Pin Hsu Wang's Nature Experience project aims to infuse a sense of leisure and simplicity into the standard, monotonous life prevalent in crowded cities. The 76-square meter space is designed to integrate seamlessly into the lives of its inhabitants, fostering closer family ties through open spaces.

Through the strategic arrangement of the living room, dining room, and bar, the project creates an open space for family sharing and gathering. The use of the simplest materials, primitive structures, warm colors, and decorative furniture aims to express the essence of life.

The project, which commenced in August 2020 and concluded in November 2020, is located in Taoyuan City, Taiwan. It was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in 2021 for its innovative and practical approach to interior space design, retail, and exhibition.

Pin Hsu Wang's design team, including Jyun-Lin Wang, overcame various challenges, such as breaking traditional Asian storage and decoration norms to maximize space practicality. The project's unique approach to integrating different spaces without conflict, while maintaining balance through the use of distinct materials, sets it apart from conventional designs.

Pin Hsu Wang, based in Taoyuan, Taiwan, is a young design company dedicated to creating natural and practical living spaces for families. Their commitment to reducing excessive storage and decorative materials aligns with their vision of a simple and environmentally conscious lifestyle.
