Award-winning designer Yung Yu Chien unveils a modern, nature-inspired residential house in Taipei City, Taiwan, completed in September 2021.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Underlying Elegance, a remodeled old apartment in Taipei, showcases a mixed modern style with a north-facing layout and a loft, offering excellent natural light. The renovation, completed in September 2021, reflects the designer's belief in interior design and serves as a model residence for clients to inspect in person.
The lower level of the residence is designed as a complete common area, featuring an open-concept living room, dining room, and a Japanese room, seamlessly connected to allow unobstructed natural light to penetrate indoors. The upper level ensures privacy for the bedrooms.
The design incorporates innovative technology, such as a vegetation wall at the entrance and faux stone veins applied to the walls in the common area, creating a cohesive indoor environment. The residence spans 71m2 and is a testament to the designer's meticulous attention to detail and sustainability, utilizing green materials and reusing existing items.
Yung Yu Chien's Underlying Elegance was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in 2023, recognizing its well-designed, practical, and innovative features that meet professional and industrial requirements, contributing to a better world.
