Phoenix Mansion: A Unique Sales Center Design

gad's Phoenix Mansion, a sales center designed to reflect oriental characteristics, has been awarded the prestigious Silver A' Design Award in 2021. The project, which started in January 2018 and was completed in December 2018, is a 200-square-meter space located in Chengdu, China.

The design features spatial diversity, with courtyards planted with bamboo on the east and west sides, and a white central space with a sloped roof for reflecting sunlight. The entrance, located at an unremarkable corner, presents an implicit feeling, inviting visitors into the space. The landscape elements at the front yard refer to classic Chinese gardens and are reorganized based on local conditions, creating a tranquil atmosphere.

Using aluminum panel, glass, and stone, the design integrates modern aesthetics with traditional Chinese elements, offering a quiet space for residents to retreat from the noise of the city. The central courtyard features pavilions, verandas, and bridges, connecting the interior and exterior spaces through French windows. The flexible transition of functional spaces paves the way for unveiling the Phoenix Mansion property.

The Phoenix Mansion project presented challenges due to its limited site area, but the design successfully integrates urban retreat elements with Chinese-style architectural features, creating a distinctive and inviting space. The project has been recognized for its outstanding expertise, innovation, and remarkable level of excellence.
