YII Design introduces Slow Dance, a warm contemporary residential apartment located in New Taipei City, completed in July 2020.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
YII Design presents Slow Dance, a residential apartment that reflects the elegant yet comfortable lifestyle of its owners. The 225-square-meter space embodies a warm contemporary style, blending modern elements with the comforts of home. The design revolves around the concept of the dining room as the axis of the home, offering flexible arrangements for various activities.
The centerpiece of the apartment is a sculptural storage container in the dining area, crafted from angular iron, stone, and woodworks. This spatial object serves as the core and focus of the home, combining functionality with artistic design. The use of natural stones, iron works, dyed natural wood veneer, and other materials adds a unique touch to the space.
YII Design overcame challenges such as retaining existing flooring and wall elements while presenting a modern style without compromising the warmth of a home. The result is a harmonious blend of cold, square elements like stone and iron with soft furnishings, thematic colors, and decorative elements, creating an inviting and artistic living space.
