Experimental Generative Design and Cutting-Edge Fabrication Technologies Shape the Nestwood Gallery

Z Square Group and Manifold Lab have unveiled the Nestwood Gallery, a unique organic office space designed to foster creativity and collaboration among various creative industries. Inspired by mathematical forms and the balance found in nature, the gallery serves as an oasis for designers and creative professionals, featuring experimental generative design and cutting-edge fabrication technologies.

The 600 square meter, two-floor office space, located in Toronto, was completed in September 2022. The design process involved the use of experimental generative design to create an organic space, with each spatial detail further fabricated using the latest digital fabrication technology, including stainless steel 316L digital fabrication, GFRG robotic forming, and laser-cut perforated metal.

The central atrium of the Nestwood Gallery acts as a hub for design teams to exchange ideas, while a water drop-shaped reception area and a mini bio-pond welcome visitors, creating a harmonious blend of nature and technology. The project was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in 2023 for its outstanding and creatively ingenious design.
