FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Yuntu: A Banquet Restaurant Inspired by the Song Dynasty

Shang Cai's Yuntu project, a banquet restaurant in Shaoxing City, China, draws inspiration from the art and aesthetics of the Song Dynasty, offering a unique and ethereal dining experience. The space, covering 1400 square meters with a floor height of 8 meters, is designed to host large-scale events such as weddings and celebrations, incorporating the artistic features and romantic temperament of the Song Dynasty.

The design of Yuntu is a testament to the highest level of artistic creation during the Song Dynasty. The spatial planning divides the area into three distinct parts, utilizing Chinese garden design techniques to create a sense of layer and ceremony. The use of freehand brushwork techniques and color matching skills from the Song Dynasty's ink paintings adds an illusory and dreamy atmosphere to the restaurant.

Guests are welcomed into a 60-meter-long blue transparent passageway, leading to a black-and-white event hall with cloud-shaped partitions, and finally into a huge, dreamy banquet hall. The carefully designed spatial motion lines and color contrast imbue the space with a sense of rhythm and ceremony, transporting guests into a crystal sky-themed space with flowing clouds, reminiscent of the art and aesthetics of the Song Dynasty.
