Renowned designer Summer Chang Hin Cheong introduces "Heart By Tree," a villa house concept inspired by traditional Chinese architecture and modernized to create a serene environment for families. Situated in the lush tropical forest of Gunung Pulai, Malaysia, the villa is designed to provide a harmonious blend of temperature and protection against wildlife intrusion, offering a unique and cozy environment for leisure and relaxation.
The villa's unique features include a courtyard layout with a lawn and willow plant roof for better heat insulation, as well as the transplantation of tall ancestral trees as a token of gratitude to the owner's societal contributions. The design realization technology focuses on minimizing construction costs and environmental impact, utilizing zinc and fiber for the lawn roof and repurposing abandoned factory materials for decoration.
Spanning 10,000 square feet, the villa boasts a high-ceiling lobby, karaoke lounge, kitchen, dining area, outdoor barbecue, swimming pool, and eight bedrooms encircling a pond, offering complete comfort and relaxation. The project, which commenced in October 2019, is set to be completed by July 2020, overcoming challenges such as heavy rain during construction and the successful transplantation of a 5-tonne ancestral tree.
