Lei Dong's Smart Energy Exhibition Hall Completed in Nanjing, China
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Lei Dong, along with the design team, Tian Lu Cai, Chang Jiang Shang, and Jian Xin Liu, completed "The Forest of Life," a 406 square meter smart energy exhibition hall in Nanjing, China, in June 2020. The exhibition hall, designed for a smart energy company, aims to showcase corporate culture, smart energy technology, and achievements, emphasizing the importance of a green environment and energy sustainability.
The exhibition hall combines high technology and primeval forest elements to create an immersive experience for visitors. It presents an artistic representation of the combination of clean energy and native forests, emphasizing the prosperity of both. Visitors can follow a path through the park, enjoying corporate stories and technology displays while experiencing the natural scenery of spring, summer, autumn, and winter.
The design team overcame creative and technical challenges by incorporating water-rippled stainless steel panels, moss, simulated plants, deer, and polar bears to create a natural forest atmosphere. The use of high-tech lighting, audio-visual displays, and interactive exhibits creates a futuristic and immersive atmosphere, while natural materials such as wood, stone, and water establish a connection with the environment.
Lei Dong, a prominent designer from Beijing, China, has been recognized for her exceptional work, with "The Forest of Life" winning the Silver A' Design Award in 2023 for Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design. The award acknowledges the outstanding expertise, innovation, and remarkable level of excellence demonstrated in the design.
