Neogenesis+Studi0261 Unveils "Nest" - A Nordic-Inspired Commercial Interior Design

Neogenesis+Studi0261 has unveiled their latest project, "Nest," a commercial interior design that redefines workspace aesthetics. Completed in 2018 in Surat, India, the design aimed to create a "feel at home" experience, recognizing the significance of the workplace as a space where individuals spend a substantial amount of time.

The core concept behind "Nest" was to seamlessly blend simplicity and diversity, incorporating Nordic style and fading detailing techniques with contemporary and local design elements. The design caters to the needs of two distinct professionals - advocates and architects - by integrating varied hierarchical orders while maintaining an earthy, grounded look.

The design's unique features include the use of eco-friendly materials, thermal comfort-providing terrazzo flooring, lime-plastered walls, and reclaimed wood, all aimed at reviving local artistry and building materials. The space also features larger openings created by removing the northeast wall, combined with perforated GI sliding screens for security and vision.

Neogenesis+Studi0261's "Nest" has been recognized with the prestigious Golden A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design category in 2020. This award celebrates the design's outstanding creativity, reflecting the designer's prodigy and wisdom, and its significant impact on the world.
