Xu Studio's latest project, Extra Time Cinema, challenges traditional on-demand cinema norms by transforming it into a dynamic social space. The 800-square-meter venue, located in Shanghai, features a multifunctional area with a bar as the centerpiece, fostering interactions through coffee sessions, book reading, video purchases, salon lectures, and social gatherings.

Unlike conventional cinemas, Extra Time Cinema boasts a 9-meter radius semi-circular space around the central bar, offering endless possibilities for diverse activities, including movie lecture salons, modern dance performances, and corporate events.

The innovative design incorporates cutting-edge technology, such as curved stainless steel grooves and light strips, creating a visually stunning ambiance that transitions from blue to green and rose red, enhancing the overall cinematic experience.
