FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Fu-Kai Bai and I-Han Liu's Vintage Look hair salon in Taichung City, Taiwan, is a stunning example of redefining commercial space. The design concept was inspired by the need to create a space different from other hair salons, with a focus on providing a unique and luxurious experience for clients. The space is designed as a "Check-in Spot," encouraging clients to take photos and share their experiences online. The carefully curated color tones, materials, and furnishings create a comforting balance, inviting people to capture and share memorable moments.
The Vintage Look hair salon stands out with its unique properties, exuding richness and luxury through carefully selected materials and design elements. The space features arch mirrors embedded with titanium plating bars, vintage-like modeling wall lamps, and an overall exotic vibe that offers customers an unparalleled experience. The use of recycled fiberboards for wave modeling on the walls and imported marble-imitating tiles on the floor further adds to the space's uniqueness and sustainability.
Utilizing advanced technology and sustainable materials, the Vintage Look hair salon is a testament to innovative design realization. The use of titanium plating materials, wave modeling walls from recycled fiberboards, and marble-imitating tiles not only adds a sense of luxury but also contributes to environmental sustainability. The system cabinets are made of wooden plates from reclaimed forests, further emphasizing the commitment to eco-friendly design.
The 72-square-meter space is equipped with a hairdressing area, a hair washing area, equipment storage, a counter, and a pedestrian arcade, ensuring that the design meets the functional requirements of a modern hair salon. The space takes advantage of mirrors reflecting characteristics to expand clients' vision significantly while experiencing the hair-changing progress in detail. Additionally, the relaxing environment is enhanced with French windows and three-layered doors to draw sufficient light and breeze into the interior.
The Vintage Look hair salon project began in September 2020 and was completed in September 2021, showcasing the meticulous attention to detail and extensive research that went into transforming the pre-owned house into a luxurious and inviting space. The design team overcame challenges such as poor lighting and ventilation conditions by strategically incorporating glasses, transparent doors, and reflective characteristics of mirrors to create a visually expansive and comfortable environment for guests.
The Vintage Look hair salon design was awarded the prestigious Iron A' Design Award in 2022, recognizing its well-designed, practical, and innovative approach that meets professional and industrial requirements. The design has successfully integrated industry best practices and competent technical characteristics, contributing to a better world through its fulfillment and positive impact on clients.
