Light and Shadow: A Unique Blend of Luxury and Technology

CHIU CHIEN-WEI's "Light and Shadow" design project is a stunning residential house that seamlessly blends luxury and technology. The 139 square meter space features an open layout that combines art and humanity, allowing the diffusion of light and shadow under the metallic texture to portray abstract aesthetics. The design is a balance of tension between technology and humanity, with low-chroma colors and modern style creating a unique and luxurious vibe.

The interior design utilizes steel brushed veneer, iron parts, titanium plate, natural stone skin, marble, imported tiles, imported fabric wall, glass, and super wear-resistant floor to create a space that is both visually striking and functional. The clever connection of all elements strikes a balance of tension between technology and humanity, creating a space that is both luxurious and inviting.

One of the unique features of the design is the clever use of light beams as a medium to enjoy the collision of materials, creating a dynamic interplay of light and shadow throughout the space. The design also features a bar area with a titanium-plated steel plate canopy, creating a sense of elegance and sophistication. The dining and lounge areas are designed to maintain continuity of space, with inlaid lighting bringing sophistication and beauty to the home.

CHIU CHIEN-WEI's "Light and Shadow" design project represents a perfect balance between the rigidity and softness, creating a space that offers fluid dynamics and timeless moments. The project was completed in September 2020 in Hsinchu City, Taiwan, and has been recognized with the prestigious Silver A' Design Award in 2021.
