William Ti Jr's design for the BSP Security Plant Complex in New Clark City, Philippines, integrates nature and security to create a sustainable and secure public building that reflects the country's rich biodiversity.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
William Ti Jr's proposal for the new BSP Security Plant Complex is a unique public building that incorporates planning principles for the future, demanding a highly secure, flexible, and adaptable floor area as technology constantly improves the production process. The living facade is a showcase of over 250 endemic Philippine trees and an exposition of tropical plants, providing a constant display of life that shields the building from direct sun exposure, minimizes thermal heat gain, and offers air ventilation.
The design, located in New Clark City, Philippines, spans a Construction Floor Area (CFA) of 223,501.83 sqm and a Gross Floor Area (GFA) of 197,947.20 sqm. The project draws inspiration from the Philippines' rich biodiversity and aims to enhance the natural barriers of the site, symbolizing the country's mountainous tropical archipelago in a natural landscape that reflects the richness and biodiversity of the islands.
William Ti Jr's design for the BSP Security Plant Complex has been recognized with the prestigious Silver A' Design Award in 2023, highlighting its outstanding expertise, innovation, and remarkable level of excellence in architecture, building, and structure design.
