Promenade: Redefining Healthy Architecture

Designed by Natalia Ottonello and Ian Guevara, Promenade is a 10-story residential building with a groundbreaking approach to architecture, focusing on promoting a healthier lifestyle and improving residents' well-being. The project, under construction since 2022 and set to be completed in 2024, is located in Punta del Este, Uruguay.

The building's design is centered around the concept of Biophilic Design, integrating greenery as a key element. It features floor-to-ceiling glazing, black aluminum, and wood, emphasizing a strong connection with nature. Promenade offers 54 apartments with private green terraces and a rooftop terrace with a community garden and vegetable gardens, promoting urban sustainability and a healthier lifestyle.

The design aims to encourage residents to grow their own food, fostering a stronger bond with nature and promoting social interaction. The project has been awarded the prestigious Bronze A' Design Award in 2023, recognizing its innovative approach to architecture and its contribution to improving the quality of life.

Promenade represents a new architectural paradigm for Punta del Este, emphasizing the importance of integrating vegetation and living nature as essential elements of architectural language. The project's unique focus on enhancing residents' health and well-being sets a new standard for sustainable and healthy architecture in urban environments.
