Rural Guest House Transformation by Tianqi Guan

Tianqi Guan's Shared Yard is a rural guest house project that redefines the relationship between city dwellers and nature, offering a unique lifestyle experience while preserving traditional culture. The project, located in Zhangjiazhuang Village, Beijing, repurposed an abandoned house to create a boutique homestay surrounded by natural beauty.

The project successfully integrates traditional rural dwellings with contemporary architecture, using recycled materials to establish a dialogue between the old and the new. By embracing the surrounding hills and trees, the design creates a rich spatial experience, providing a serene environment for guests.

Shared Yard not only brings the rural experience to urbanites but also enhances the community environment for villagers, contributing to the local economy. The project has been recognized with the Silver A' Design Award, showcasing exceptional innovation and technical excellence.
