Da Yen Transforms Taipei Medical University Hospital into a Symbol of Rebirth and Innovation
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Da Yen's redesign of Taipei Medical University Hospital is a stunning representation of rebirth and innovation in the medical institution. The inspiration behind the design, drawn from the metamorphosis of a butterfly, infuses the space with a sense of hope and renewal. The hospital's space is divided into three distinct areas, each with its own thematic color, creating a harmonious and visually striking environment. The use of curved sequences and metal grilles adds a unique touch, while the butterfly installation art, featuring titanium-plated panels and embedded LED lights, serves as a captivating visual element.
The redesign also addresses the functionality of the space, with a focus on providing a comfortable and welcoming environment for visitors. The lobby's seating arrangement, reminiscent of a tourist hotel, offers a seamless and comfortable experience. Furthermore, the transformation of the building's right angles into circular curves and the addition of natural scene lighting panels soften the overall ambiance, aiming to change the public's perception of the hospital as a cold and emotionless place.
Completed in February 2018 in Taipei, Taiwan, the project presented unique challenges due to the hospital's 24-hour operations. Da Yen's team meticulously planned and executed the redesign, ensuring minimal disruption to the hospital's daily functions. The result is a space that not only meets the demand for digital healthcare services but also provides a friendlier and improved service experience for all.
