Discover the Yamadera Suite, a Tranquil Retreat at Hotel Yamagata Kaku, Taiwan
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Chris Chen, a renowned designer, has unveiled the Yamadera Suite, a serene retreat nestled within Hotel Yamagata Kaku, Taiwan. Drawing inspiration from the symbolic Mountain Temple in Yamagata, Japan, this exclusive suite embodies tranquility and introspection.
The Yamadera Suite is a testament to innovative design, seamlessly blending nature-like elements with monotone materials to create a captivating environment. The spatial organization, divided into three distinct sectionsâFoyer, Resting, and Bathingâoffers a harmonious flow, despite the compact size of the space.
Utilizing advanced wall coating materials, including diatomaceous earth and water-proof mineral paints, the suite achieves a unique sense of nature while ensuring functionality and comfort. The design also incorporates a cave-like resting area, providing guests with an isolated space to savor solitude and embrace tranquility.
Chris Chen's meticulous attention to detail is evident throughout the suite, with elements such as an abstract shrine and symbolic pilgrimage path integrated seamlessly into the design. The suite's completion in February 2019 marked the culmination of a two-year project, reflecting Chen's dedication to infusing Japanese historical and geographic influences into every aspect of the design.
Recipient of the prestigious Bronze A' Design Award in 2021, the Yamadera Suite stands as a testament to Chris Chen's innovative approach to interior design, offering guests a truly immersive and transformative experience.
