Yusuke Tanaka's U Shaped is a 2020 residential house design in Yonago, Tottori, Japan, aimed at fostering family connectivity and privacy.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Yusuke Tanaka's U Shaped design was inspired by the client's desire for a home that promotes family togetherness. The living room is strategically positioned at the center, surrounded by the kitchen, dining area, bedrooms, and children's room, creating a space where family members can easily interact and communicate.
What sets U Shaped apart is the innovative use of large glass walls in the open ceiling living room, providing an expansive and bright communal area. The exterior features a balanced mix of materials, including wood, tiles, and plastered walls, creating a serene facade.
The U Shaped house, built in 2020, covers a land area of 368 square meters and a building area of 237 square meters in Tottori, Japan. The design prioritizes privacy while maintaining an open and airy atmosphere, achieved through careful placement of walls and windows.
