Award-winning designer Hoda Lasheen unveils a residential masterpiece inspired by historical palace of princess Aisha Fahmy, blending maximalist art collection with classical European style
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Hoda Lasheen unveils "The Collector," a residential apartment in Cairo, Egypt, blending classical European elegance with a maximalist art collection. Inspired by the historical palace of princess Aisha Fahmy, the 250 m2 apartment is a fusion of vibrant textiles, classic cornices, and wooden flooring, creating a museum-like ambiance. The project, which commenced in June 2021 and concluded in June 2022, reflects the client's passion for art and travel, resulting in a unique and luxurious living space.
The design process involved extensive research, site visits, and client meetings to understand the owner's lifestyle and vision. Hoda Lasheen Design Studio meticulously crafted a design that harmoniously integrates the client's art collection and acquired objects, creating a captivating museum-like experience within the apartment. The project was not without its challenges, but the studio successfully overcame them to deliver a design that seamlessly blends classical elegance with the client's vibrant personality.
Hoda Lasheen's design philosophy, "YOUR SPACE IS YOU," is evident in The Collector, where the apartment reflects the client's identity as an art collector and world traveler. The project has been recognized with the prestigious Bronze A' Design Award in 2023, celebrating its outstanding creativity and contribution to quality of life improvements through art, science, design, and technology.
