Discover the Award-Winning Harmony Mindfulness Residential Space by Ping-Yang Chen
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Ping-Yang Chen's Harmony Mindfulness is a 125 square meter residential space that embodies a natural and casual mix-and-match style, catering to diverse lifestyles and spiritual needs. The project, completed in 2020 in Taoyuan, Taiwan, reflects a sustainable design approach, incorporating reuse and recycle strategies for sustainable development.
The design features carbonized veneer in the restaurant kitchen area, maintaining the original plant effect of the water plant tank and reducing material waste. The master bedroom and guest room are characterized by distinct styles, utilizing carbonized veneer and low-formaldehyde materials to create unique atmospheres while prioritizing health and environmental considerations.
To address challenges such as western sun exposure, the design incorporates electric organ curtains and Daikin heat exchangers, offering smart solutions for temperature control and air quality management. The use of natural thin stone slabs and exposed ceilings further highlights the design's commitment to sustainability and resource efficiency.
Ping-Yang Chen's design philosophy reflects a deep connection between man and nature, seeking tranquility amidst the complexities of the modern world. With a focus on observation, feedback, and symbiosis, the Harmony Mindfulness project represents a harmonious blend of innovative design and environmental consciousness.
