Fengyuan Original: Coconut Chicken Restaurant Interior Design

Lili Xie's design for the Fengyuan Original restaurant in Guang Zhou, China, is a remarkable fusion of nature and modernity. Inspired by the mild and refreshing flavors of coconut chicken hot pot, the space is transformed into a fantasy forest with 475 metal palm leaves, water features, and unique lighting, creating a one-of-a-kind dining atmosphere.

The innovative use of 201 steel, laser-cut into palm leaf shapes and plated with green spot color, allows the 4-meter-long leaves to stand on their own, serving as both decorative elements and functional partitions. This modular design approach not only reduces construction time but also effectively controls building costs, making it ideal for a chain restaurant to expand.

Xie's design has been recognized with the prestigious Platinum A' Design Award in 2020, showcasing unmatched professionalism and contributing to societal wellbeing through transcendent excellence in art, science, design, and technology.
