Renowned designer Jinying Huang unveils YangYang, a modern Suzhou-style Chinese restaurant in Suzhou, combining traditional elements with modern design to create a unique dining experience.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Jinying Huang, along with the design team, drew inspiration from nature to create YangYang, a 1000 sqm Chinese restaurant that captures the essence of Suzhou-style cuisine. The thematic concept of "bird songs and fragrant flowers" is expressed through fine brush flower-and-bird paintings, reflecting traditional Suzhou lifestyle in a modern setting.
The premium shades of gray throughout the space tone down heavy colors, while the large and small halls feature distinctive patterns, catering to diverse customer needs. The restaurant offers casual seating, business meals, and afternoon tea, with the flexibility to host small dine-together events.
YangYang's unique feature lies in the use of folding doors between compartments, allowing flexible seating arrangements and providing customers with a varied dining experience. The project, which began in October 2019 and concluded in January 2020, overcame the challenge of designing a recognizable Chinese restaurant by incorporating traditional Suzhou elements into the space.
