Discover the innovative design of Urban Garden, a vertical villa in Siddiq, Kuwait, designed to promote well-being through biophilic elements, set to commence construction in October 2022.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
nour zeino saccal presents Urban Garden, a residential villa that redefines urban living through biophilic design. Inspired by the clientâs love for Japanese gardens and nature, the villa seamlessly integrates elements of green, water, air, and light to create a space that fosters well-being. The unique challenge of a narrow plot influenced the design, resulting in a vertical volume that uses its façades as screens to provide privacy within a dense neighborhood. The house is set to commence construction in October 2022, offering a new perspective on urban living in Kuwait.
The main materials used in the design include concrete clad in grey stone for the main volume, along with a unique black marble used in the front and back entrances to highlight them and infuse the house with a sense of luxurious austerity. The villa boasts a built-up area of 1420m2 on a 460m2 plot, offering a distinctive and innovative living space that challenges traditional residential design.
Urban Garden is the result of extensive research into biophilic design, aiming to enhance the well-being of its inhabitants. Incorporating elements such as skylights, punctures, shallow water pools, a large green wall, and a mini garden in the basement, the villa creates a connection with natural living things, supporting better cognitive function, physical, and psychological well-being.
