Hsu Ykung Design Co., Ltd. unveils a multifunctional residence in Shantou, China, reflecting the family's daily lifestyle through practical and vibrant design.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Hsu Ykung Design Co., Ltd. presents the SeawardSunshine residence, a 240 square meter project located in Shantou, China. The design concept draws inspiration from the family's daily lifestyle, aiming to create a clean, multifunctional living space that enhances communication in a relaxed atmosphere. The project commenced in March 2019 and was completed in January 2020 at No. 58, Hanjiang Road, Shantou, Guangdong.
The SeawardSunshine residence stands out for its unique approach to space utilization. By releasing space volume to its greatest extent, the design separates different living areas and refines human-friendly spaces meticulously. The parlor, featuring a mix of modern sofas, traditional cabinets, and old Indonesian teak stools, presents a freely arranged space, creating a vivid and fun ambiance. The kitchen space is strategically integrated with the guest bedroom, bathroom, and balcony to form an independent living quarter.
The project's realization involved the use of terrazzo, walnut, ultrathin rock panel, black steel panel, grey glass, and handmade sandstone paint, showcasing a blend of traditional and contemporary materials. Notably, the master bedroom design presented a significant challenge, requiring the integration of multiple functions such as a walk-in closet, living room, and audio/video room. The master bathroom was divided into five sections, each efficiently serving its respective function while maintaining privacy and openness.
The SeawardSunshine residence was honored with the Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design category in 2020. This accolade recognizes the project's outstanding and creatively ingenious design, which authentically reflects experience and resourcefulness, contributing to quality of life improvements.
