Wide Design Unveils "Whispers of Cats" - A Pet-Centric Living Space Completed in 2019
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Wide Design, led by Hsiang Chen Fan, has unveiled "Whispers of Cats," a unique residence design project completed in 2019 in Hsizhi District, New Taipei City, Taiwan. The project was aimed at creating a harmonious living space for a young couple and their beloved cats, blending functionality and emotional interactions.
The design team focused on understanding the needs of both the clients and their feline companions, incorporating elements to enhance their daily living and emotional interactions. The space features elegant dark grey tones complemented by warm oak textures, creating a refreshing and comfortable environment for all inhabitants.
With an internal area of 57 square meters, the design includes innovative features such as hidden cat doors integrated into the TV wall and a transition area that doubles as a storage cabinet and a play area for the cats. The team meticulously studied cat behaviors and ergonomics to ensure the well-being of the pets, creating precision-designed cat facilities to provide a fun and comfortable playing paradise for the cats.
Wide Design's "Whispers of Cats" was honored with the Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design category in 2020, recognizing its outstanding and creatively ingenious approach to pet-centric living spaces.
