Ping Yu Kuo's "Forest Breath" design, a residential showflats project, has been awarded the prestigious Iron A' Design Award in 2021 for its innovative approach to integrating nature into interior spaces.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Ping Yu Kuo's "Forest Breath" design is a unique residential showflats project that aims to bring sunlight and greenery into the house, merging the interior with the natural surroundings. The design features multi-layer plants on the balcony, integrating the inside and outside environments to create a seamless connection with nature. The use of natural materials and the changing light intensity enhances the overall living experience, elevating the quality of life to a new level.
The design concept focuses on enlarging the public space and incorporating greenery into the interior, resulting in a dynamic environment that evolves over time. By combining the study room and living room, the design releases the constraints of traditional room layouts, offering a more open and flexible living space.
Constructed using melamine board, quartz lamina, marble, glass, wood, and steel, the 104 m2 fourth-floor building includes a living room, kitchen, restaurant, study, master bedroom, two rooms, and a bathroom. The project, located in Taichung City, Taiwan, was completed in June 2020.
Ping Yu Kuo's design approach emphasizes the relationship between people and nature, creating a comfortable and inviting environment that fosters shared experiences and lifetime memories. The use of nature materials and low chromaticity as the main theme contributes to a harmonious coexistence with the natural surroundings.
One of the notable challenges in the project was creating a viewpoint in the public space. The design team overcame this challenge by integrating a shutter made of quartz lamina, wood, and steel, enhancing the visual appeal and functionality of the space.
Ping Yu Kuo's "Forest Breath" design has been recognized with the Iron A' Design Award in 2021, showcasing its practical and innovative approach that meets professional and industrial requirements. The project's integration of industry best practices and competent technical characteristics contributes to a better world, earning it this prestigious accolade.
