Twins Studio Introduces Tuya, a Stunning Restaurant Design

Twins Studio proudly presents Tuya, a remarkable restaurant design that encapsulates the elegance of the 70's and Art Deco elements, located in Vienna, Austria. Commissioned to create a destination restaurant, Twins Studio drew inspiration from the 70's and the building's character to craft a space where patrons can have a wonderful time in an elegant setting.

Integrating typical Austrian architecture, Tuya spans over two floors, creating an informal atmosphere reminiscent of the French Riviera. The design enhances the subtle Art Deco and Postmodern character of the initial space, preserving essential elements such as marble flooring and the circular stair, while custom-made objects bring a French Riviera vibe to the project.

All production for Tuya took place in Romania, with wall coverings made from solid beech wood using a CNC machine, and over 3000 glass tubes cut at different dimensions for the ceiling installation. The terrazzo floor features more than 3 km of brass profile, and the public area covers 600 square meters, with an additional 400 square meters for staff areas, including the kitchen and changing rooms.

The project commenced in March 2018 and was completed in June 2019. Tuya was awarded the prestigious Golden A' Design Award in 2020 for its outstanding and trendsetting design, reflecting the designer's prodigy and wisdom. Twins Studio's Tuya sets a new standard in restaurant design, offering a unique and unforgettable dining experience in Vienna, Austria.
