Chia-Ling Sun and Hsuan-Jung Pan's Live in Letters project in Kaohsiung City, Taiwan, awarded Iron in A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award in 2020, redefines living spaces with a unique black-based design.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Chia-Ling Sun and Hsuan-Jung Pan's Live in Letters project is a testament to innovative design, transforming living spaces into a distinctive co-working space sense. Inspired by a single male client's large book storage demand and preference for a black-based space, the design prototype draws from bookstore aesthetics, resulting in an unpredictable, yet original living space.
The black, white, and grey colored space with light boxes and iron pieces exudes a succinct modern style, catering to cultural individuals with a taste for the extraordinary. The irregular configuration of the living room sofa and amorphous TV wall showcases the uniqueness of the design, offering a comfortable freestyle co-working space.
Utilizing Italian Fresco stucco paint and wood grain veneer, the design achieves a trendy and original look, while the open public area features a structural column turned into a light box, adding an artistic touch to the space. With a space area of 146.6m2, the design includes an extra-long dining table for 8 people and a complete dressing room, providing a luxurious and comfortable living experience.
The Live in Letters project challenges traditional living space norms, offering a dark humanistic fashion that integrates art, functionality, and innovation. The design's recognition with the A' Design Award in 2020 is a testament to its excellence and contribution to redefining living spaces.
